Should you wish to drop by my temple it's now in the central district. I'd prefer not to announce my move publicly just yet, as I'm enjoying the quiet, but if Ayumu asks you, you can pass the information on to her.

I saw this on the Near Shore today and immediately thought of you

[Please enjoy the neatly wrapped box that appears at your breakfast plate the day after the Capypa Land visit, Chikusa.

It would have contained a hat if he hadn't already bought himself one by the time Hakkai ran into him at the theme park. Instead, there has been a last-minute exchange, and it contains an apron with adorable capypa print.]

[ So there are actually two packages on the porch to the temple in the morning, both wrapped in paper with happy reindeers printed on them, and Chikusa is probably not the one taking them inside, but only one is addressed to Chikusa, the other is for the stupid God. ]

[ There are two things in this package. One thing which is clearly for Chikusa specifically, but also a large assorted box of snacks, with an additional note on it. ]

[ Left at the front door of Hakkai's temple late in the day is a package for Chikusa.

Inside, he will find a new beanie.

Also enclosed is another package with a note saying, For Ken, and holds a matching counterpart. ]

[ Considering their little temple has grown recently and has also become a permanent home since Souji and Homura are gone, Nanako has had a surprise in store for this Christmas. Suddenly Christmas morning, a doorway is revealed, showing a nearby hallway with a few rooms within - one of them being Nanako's own. Another of them has a plaque with Chikusa and Ken's name on it and inside is a new room just for them.

Under the tree, there is a wrapped sloth kigurumi and a big stocking stuffed full of sweets and baked goods Nanako made. ]

[Chikusa's gift is left at Nanako's temple for him. It's a very childish, badly drawn picture of what are probably cats. Definitely cats if you know the context. They are wearing hats. Obviously.

There is also a collection of painted rocks. Chikusa needs more friends.

[ D2 could go in and seek Chikusa out in person, since he is right outside with Hakkai and Bon, but it's faster to just try to call him first instead of going on a mini search mission inside the temple for what might only take a minute or two to talk about.

[ A message at the dead of the night comes. It contains photos of bad luck charms found on different places - nothing new under the sun right? - and a mystery photo to be unraveled later. The content of the message hopefully explains why the photos are being sent in first place. ]

Hey Chikusa, it's been a while,

I'm not around, not around Japan or anywhere close that is. I went to Ireland for some, let's say, family business and made a discovery that might interest you. Those charms? I found them here. Each on a shrine of a Celtic god that just happens to be in the Far Shore. I even found some old scraps of papers on Caireen shrine, she left us some time ago. Can't tell if those are remains of a curse or just prayers though.

Shrines of other Celtic gods were untouched. Each and every one of them was clear. I will check a few more just to be sure, but I'm seeing a pattern.

I have no idea how they know which of us are here and which are in Japan, but I'll ask around and see if I can learn something more.

(It's very, very obviously Minako's work, since it's wrapped in almost obnoxiously bright poppy wrapping paper.)

[ So as is a sacred tradition that has to be upheld, when someone of Chikusa-clan helps you, you owe the representative of, Chikusa-clan a gift.

A traditional gift is a hat. It cannot be a simple hat, the dumber, or more novelty-like the better.

Basically, Caster drops by Temple Hakkai to give Chikusa a thanks-for-help-with-ablution-hat. It has even card saying exactly that ]

[ Look, she's not sure if Chikusa is the one she should be asking about this, considering he sometimes seems to have the expressional depth of a pet rock emotions-wise. But he really does seem to care for his god a lot, judging by how much he was trying to help him before, so maybe he actually has some good ideas about this? ]
