Romeo was really glad to see Chikusa! He hasn't seen him in a little while and he's glad he's come to the party today!
"Of course they brought books! Did you bring one?"
Romeo has been bouncing around the food table, making sure nothing ran out! There is more of some things in the kitchen. He had worried earlier that day that they had made too much food but now seeing Chikusa's pile he thinks it will be alright! Everything will get eaten!
There's truly no need to worry about the food going to waste. As long as Chikusa and Ken are around, or even just one of them, nothing will be left behind. Well, except for that constant regenerating lunchbox. That might be a problem.
Either way, Chikusa's thoughts are dragged away from food and more to excuses as he blinks down at Romeo. Honestly, he didn't bring a book specifically with the intent of showing it off here. Or even reading it here. The whole book part of this get together was a secondary thing compared to his primary objective of free food. Still... Putting down the plate that's threatening to overflow, Chikusa adjusts the ever present messenger bag that's flung over his shoulder so that he can start to dig through it. Even if he didn't specifically choose a book...
He's always carrying one. The book he pulls out has an ensemble sort of cover, with a girl with brilliant blue eyes and long hair grinning confidently while a group of various men and women are behind her.
