Ginko gives a startled yelp, but she was already tensed to react; she makes a grab for where she's guessing Joker's shoulder is, fired up to pull out a handful of life force. It won't be much; just enough to try and slow her down, hopefully get her powers to flicker. She would rather not risk accidentally... you know, sending Joker into a coma or something.
Yeee-ikes! It's not the shoulder, but close enough, considering the fistful of jacket sleeve that Ginko gets. Joker grits her teeth, still stubbornly grinning throughout it all even as she dismisses the illusion outright. Ginko might, for a brief second, see a glimmer of deep colors beneath the brilliant white suit Joker has been wearing up until this point, but then it's gone in the blink of an eye.
And maybe a kick Joker tries to lodge right into Ginko's stomach to get her off of her, but who's counting. All Joker knows is that she needs to do is get off real quick. She's seen the kind of things that Ginko can do with those threads of hers, and she's nowhere near as tough as some of her beasties.
"Rain... senses. Uh..." Wait, okay, he thinks he's got this. He points at Joker, then taps his own temple and points at the sky, all in quick succession. "You, uh... you know when it's going to rain?"
"Yes!" Probably! He continues to not grasp the full extent of Japanese language. But he heard 'rain' in there, and saw the way Ginko gestured... So Joker is fairly certain this is right now, and he beams. He knew he would get it eventually, with a little bit of smashing words together and some stubbornness. "I know when it's going to rain!"
"...Mm'kay. Leaf works." Yeah, he really just has no idea how to name things. Any name seems like a good name!
With that, though, he finally remembers to actually make a move for that second tadpole. He scoops it up in a quick motion and dumps it into the bucket, the movement a lot smoother now that he's got one scoop's worth of experience doing this. "--And that one might be a tree."
"A tree, huh?" With both of their tadpoles now successfully captured, Joker hums a little bit as he watches the two of them swim in their new home. Well, it's a temporary home, really. Still. They look like they're happy, so much as he can tell with tadpoles. They don't wag their tails like dogs do, or anything...
"Lotta trees. Guess we got a lot of choices." Straightening up, he curls his fingers around the bucket's handle and looks up around them. "Do ya know any of the names for the trees around here?"
